How to Display the ScreenCloud Canva App Without the Progress Bar

Last Updated: 03/14/2025
Combining the creative power of Canva with the dynamic display capabilities of ScreenCloud opens up a world of possibilities for designing and showcasing captivating content. Whether you're a business looking to enhance your digital signage, a marketer seeking to engage your audience, or simply someone with a message to share, the synergy between Canva and ScreenCloud offers a seamless solution.
This guide is for you if you have already set up the Canva app in your ScreenCloud Studio account and you noticed the progress bar at the bottom of your content - If you haven't set up your Canva app with ScreenCloud please find the Canva app guide here.
Once you've connected your Canva creations with ScreenCloud, you might have a mind to remove the information on the number of slides that your Canva contains. Due to the way our services connect with Canva, there isn't a toggle switch to stop this from showing, unfortunately. But don't worry! We've found a way for you to workaround this issue and improve the way your Canva app appears.
To help improve the look of the app, we’ve provided a way for you to ensure you display your Canva designs in the most pleasing way possible on your digital signage screens, which includes making use of our other impactful apps. Using the design aspect of channels and zones with an app in the ticker tape zone, we’ve come up with a simple way to hide the progress bar.
We are going to help you modify the ScreenCloud Canva app from appearing like this:

To this:

How to create a channel that hides the progress bar of your Canva app
1. Create your Channel, click Edit Layout, select the Main + Footer layout, and then select Customize

2. Click CSS, and copy and paste the below CSS code into this box

#zone1 {
position: absolute;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
top: 0;
left: 0;
z-index: 10;
overflow: hidden
}
#zone2 {
position: absolute;
width: 100%;
height: 7%;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
z-index: 11;
overflow: hidden
}
#zone-hidden {
z-index: 1;
width: 0px;
height: 0px
}3. Your new zone layout should look like this. Go ahead and name your new layout, and hit Save & Close.

4. Choose your new custom layout and click Select

5. Add your Canva app to the Main Zone and add an app to the ticker tape zone
6. Publish your Channel and Preview your outcome

You can still use this zone layout with other content, granted the information at the bottom of the content still looks good even if a small part of the bottom of the content is cut-off.
We hope that this little workaround helps improve your experience with the ScreenCloud Canva app and provides additional functionality to your share messages. Cheers to making every screen a canvas for your ideas to shine!
